B.Tech & M.Tech – Electrical & Electronics

The Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering is committed to impart technical education in most efficient manner to its students. It was established in year 2004. The department has equipped itself with workshops/labs as per the University syllabus. The department has well experienced faculty having good exposure to research with publications in various national/international journals and conferences.

VISION

To be a leading technical centre to achieve international standards in the areas of education, research and services and to develop the students with engineering professional attitude, equipped with a strong technical foundation required for critical reasoning, analytical and technical skills to face global challenges to succeed competitive examinations and to promote creative environment for developing young entrepreneurs with social-concern.

MISSION

Imparting Quality Technical Education to young Engineers by providing the state-of-the-art laboratories and quality instruction by highly qualified and experienced faculty in Electrical and Electronics Engineering programme with global standards and preparing them for competitive examinations in higher education and employment with cognizant professional attitude, research aptitude, life-long learning, entrepreneurial practices, ethical values and social concern.

PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

I. To inculcate in students professional and ethical attitude, effective communication skills, teamwork skills, multidisciplinary approach, and an ability to relate engineering issues to broader social context.
II. To provide student with an academic environment aware of excellence, leadership, written ethical codes and guidelines, and the life-long learning needed for a successful professional career.
III. To prepare student for Post Graduate programmes.

PROGRAMME OUTCOMES
a) Students will be able to design electrical and electronic circuits and conduct experiments with electrical systems, analyze and interpret data.
b) Students will be able to design digital and analog systems and component.
c) Students will visualize and work on laboratory equipments and software.
d) Students will understand the impact of engineering solutions on the society and also will be aware of contemporary issues.

“VOLTA” society was formed by the students of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department. The society was inaugurated on Wednesday 23rd October 2013 by Dr. Gurcharan Dass, then Principal JCDM College of Engineering along with Dr. N.S. Bhal, Sr. Advisor Cum Chief Cordinator JCDM College of Engineering. This society is working under the supervision of Er. Pankaj Sharma, Asstt. Prof. EEE.

OBJECTIVE: The major goal of “VOLTA” society is to equip every student with blend of knowledge, communication skills and responsibility to serve as a better person for the society.

TRADITIONS:                                                  

The society organizes technical as well as non technical events to improve the overall personality of future engineers by indulging them in various activities. The activities enhance their communication skills, ability to work as a team as well as individual and build leadership qualities in them.

  • Volta, Society of EEE department of JCDM College of Engineering organized a large number of events. On 10-11-2014. About 500 participants from various colleges of JCD Vidyapeeth participated in these events with full enthusiasm. The various events organized by the society included 3 leg race, Collage making, Air gun shooting, Ludo, Cricket, Nail art, Blind hit, Bucket hit, best friend, beg-borrow-steal, Disk pot, glass shot, slow bike/ scooty race, AVI Quiz, one minute games and tug of war.
